Heavy-Duty Robotic Arm Design
Structural design and finite element analysis of a 300 kg capacity robotic arm.
- Created and analyzed a proposed model of a robotic arm for heavy applications capable of carrying approximately 300 kg.
- Performed theoretical calculations for stresses on critical locations of each part — arms, shaft, and grippers — and carried out bearing selection using SKF specifications.
- 3D modeled the full arm assembly in SolidWorks and performed numerical FEA stress analysis in ANSYS to verify the theoretical stresses and ensure structural safety.
